Many of the local businesses don’t have a web site yet, and frankly, many of them never will, but that is part of what I love about Canton. There is a resistance to change and a holding to traditional values that is unique and beautiful. Kids seem to be just as likely to playing outside, even hunting and fishing, as they are to surf the internet or play video games. I recently met a female student who was very happy to be working at an oil change shop and who informed me that her favorite past-time was hunting. She said that she didn’t care too much if she didn’t shoot anything but that she just loved being in the woods.

There is a strong sense of community here in Canton, and most people I’ve met are involved in a local church. My family and I have been visiting several of the congregations and while we are still visiting other churches but we’re leaning towards joining Lakeside Church. There seem to be a lot of young families there and they have a fantastic children’s ministry.

1. On your local machine, open a command prompt.
2. Within the prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns.

You should see the following message:

Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

To flush DNS for a computer running Mac OS:

1. On your local machine, open a terminal window.
2. Within the prompt, type lookupd -flushcache.

To flush DNS for a computer running Mac OS 10.5 Leopard (or later):

1. On your local machine, open a terminal window.
2. Within the prompt, type dscacheutil -flushcache.

1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options… .

2. Choose the General tab.

version 7:

3. Under Browsing history, click Delete… .

4. Next to “Temporary Internet Files”, click Delete files… .

5. Click Close, and then click OK to exit.

version 6:

3. In the “Temporary Internet Files” section, click Delete Files… .

4. To confirm the deletion, click OK.

5. In the Internet Options dialog box, click OK.

FIREFOX 2.x:

1. In the address bar, go to Tools->Clear Private Data

2. Select “Cache” and unselect the other.

3. Click “Clear Private Data now”

FIREFOX 3.x:

1. In the address bar, go to Tools->Clear Recent History

2. Click Details and make sure “Cache” is selected.

3. Click “Clear Now”

SAFARI

1. From the safari menu, click Empty Cache.

2. Click Empty at the prompt
